
Breakfast sausage is a morning staple, and this homemade version will exceed your expectations. Salty and sweet, this sausage is great to serve with hotcakes or waffles or on a decadent breakfast sandwich.
For the Meatballs:
1 pound Ground Pork
1/2 white onion, minced or finely grated
3 cloves garlic, finely grated
1/2 Cup Milligan Maple Syrup
2 T chopped fresh Sage
1 Tablespoon Allspice
2 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions:
Place meat, spices, onion, garlic, Milligan’s Maple Syrup and salt and pepper in a large bowl.
Gently mix ingredients by hand. Don’t overwork or use a mixer because that will result in tough.
Divide ingredients into 8 equal portions and form into patties.
Working slowly over medium heat, add the sausage patties and brown on both sides. Take your time or the sausage can burn.
Patties should be cooked thoroughly and enjoyed. Try with waffles or in a breakfast sandwich.
